Knitting Blogs & Sites

Food Meme

Found this on Serious Eats today (Can you tell I’m a fan?  That’s where I found out about the Ramen birthday, too), and I thought I’d post this one.  It’s similar to the knitting list that has been around for a while, but it’s foods.  To quote from Very Good Taste (where SE found it):

The Omnivore’s Hundred

Here’s a chance for a little interactivity for all the bloggers out there. Below is a list of 100 things that I think every good omnivore should have tried at least once in their life. The list includes fine food, strange food, everyday food and even some pretty bad food – but a good omnivore should really try it all. Don’t worry if you haven’t, mind you; neither have I, though I’ll be sure to work on it. Don’t worry if you don’t recognise everything in the hundred, either; Wikipedia has the answers.

Here’s what I want you to do:

1) Copy this list into your blog or journal, including these instructions.
2) Bold all the items you’ve eaten.
3) Cross out any items that you would never consider eating.
4) Optional extra: Post a comment here at www.verygoodtaste.co.uk linking to your results.

  • You’ve never had catfish or jello shooters???

You need to come to atlanta for a vist. And I will show you a gooood party, girl! Also I’m noticing that your bolding is viewed much better in an rss reader. On here it doesn’t look all that different. Might I suggest italics? 🙂

  • No Jello shots? Really? Karen will take care of that at Rhinebeck.

I highly recommend Currywurst, if you can find a good version. It’s delicious.

  • Hey!! LMAO!!

No indian food? Mmm…I did this earlier in the day. I’ve got about 1/2 the list down. Yum.

  • Wait, and no Pocky?!? How can you be friends with Roxy and not have had Pocky? I’m totally bringing Jello shots and Pocky to Rhinebeck…..

  • Yeeeahhhh, I’ve seen headcheese. Not going there. EVER.
