After knitting Ishbel, I’ve discovered a great fondness for Ysolda Teague‘s designs, so I started poking around and saw that her second set of “Whimsical Little Knits” patterns was being made available. I decided to buy the set, so each week I get an email that one is ready for download.
When I got the […]
Yup, that’s me. I’ve got two more FO’s to show off, each of which took about 4 days to do.
Today, it’s my Milkweed Shawl. I’ve been seeing this all over the place, and I just loved the combination of the garter stitch and simple lace, so I knew it would be mine. The pattern […]
That’s right – my Icarus shawl is done!
Pre-blocking, laid out on the kitchen table. Already big.
Taking a little bath. Sadly, this will be the last time I soak anything in this salad spinner. I’ve been using it for 4 years to soak my knits and handspun, and it developed a […]
So, yeah, I finished up the black shrug the Sunday before the wedding (Yay for backstage knitting time!). I completely forgot I hadn’t posted about it.
I don’t remember how much I told you guys, so if I’m repeating myself, well, welcome to Kris’s world. 😀
I started out planning to do the pattern that […]
So, I finished up most of the border of the Swallowtail Shawl at the first Book Club meeting at Large Marge’s on Friday evening, and then did the bindoff yesterday. Today?
And then she dries!
It ended up about 52″ across the top and 28″ down the […]
So, we’re in Vegas at the moment. Currently, I’m sitting on the bed watching Law & Order on TNT while Kris snores next to me. Poor thing has picked up a cold/sinus infection, and he’s been just wiped out for the last two days. Lovely timing, no?
We’ve been here since Friday night. In the […]
Yup. I’m a sheep. Why this time? Well, I got a message on Ravelry that someone had linked to my profile in a post. Specifically, Cristi linked to me to ask me if I wanted to join in on the Leyburn Socks KAL in the Socks That Rawk! group. Basically, they are taking this lovely […]
So, CBear posted this link on the knittyboards, and I had to post the comic here. It’s yesterday’s “Rhymes with Orange” strip, and it’s TOO funny.
In other news, I finished up the mittens yesterday morning while we were waiting for Mindy to recover from Saturday night. I won’t go into detail, […]
That’s right – I finished her up last night!
I even managed the grafting at the end of the tubular cast-off on the second try. That’s a fairly huge accomplishment for me.
It goes beautifully with my new shawl pin that I bought at Stitches this year.
